Tonight my daughter told me the story of Frederick the field mouse—how he collected sunshine, colors, and words.
As she spoke, I gently patted her back, just like when she was a baby.
After her story, I told her,
“You’re just like Frederick—you collect little treasures in your blog.”
She smiled and said,
“Yeah… even tonight, while taking my medicine, I got lost in the painting on the wall, collecting things from it… until Mom almost exploded.”
Promised she’ll behave better next time.
Tonight, Daddy tucked his little Frederick in, hoping she’ll dream sweet dreams.
